NHL hockey All-star center Steven Stamkos signs a five-year deal, worth $37.5 million on Tuesday with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Stamkos was a big contributor in the teams success this past season helping the team make a nice run to the Eastern Conference finals.
Lightning general manger Steve Yzerman announced the deal, saying that even though the deal took several months, Stamkos was never going anywhere.
This is a smart move for the Lightning as they are locking up one of the NHL's greats, and the best has yet to come for Steven Stamkos.
